OUR MISSION:

To create exceptional theater experiences fueled by ensemble spirit and unwavering dedication. We’re committed to bringing quality performances to the south St. Louis area, harnessing local resources and the boundless potential of our talented members.

WHAT WE DO

KTK, a vibrant theater group, traces its roots back to the early 1980s when it was founded by passionate alumni from St. John’s, a South City high school. While the original members hailed from the mid-1970s student body, our doors are now wide open to all who share our love for the stage. We typically perform three shows a year: two straight plays and a musical in the spring. In the summer, we offer a theater camp for kids. The youth learn all aspects of theater, from auditions to stage managing and performing, and show off their skills in a final performance. KTK believes everyone who has the desire can play a role. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a backstage wizard, or simply someone who appreciates the magic of theater, you’re welcome here!

Community theater refers to theatrical productions performed by and for local community members. Unlike professional theater, which involves paid actors and crew, community theater features volunteer performers, directors, and behind-the-scenes workers. It aims to make performing arts accessible to everyone, providing opportunities for local talent to showcase their skills, build a sense of community, and engage in creative expression.

At KTK, the ensemble spirit means putting the collective success and harmony of the group above individual desires, creating a strong sense of community and a unified performance.

KTK believes everyone who has the desire can play a role. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a backstage wizard, or simply someone who appreciates the magic of theater, you’re welcome here!
