OUR MISSION:
To create exceptional theater experiences fueled by ensemble spirit and unwavering dedication. We’re committed to bringing quality performances to the St. Louis City area, harnessing local resources and the boundless potential of our talented members.
About KTK
KTK is a vibrant community theater group with roots in the early 1980s, founded by passionate alumni of St. John’s, a South City high school. What began with a small group of mid‑1970s graduates has grown into an open, welcoming home for anyone who loves the stage—no matter your background or experience level.
What We Do
🎭 Annual Productions
Each year, we produce three full shows: two straight plays and a spring musical. Our productions bring together performers, directors, and behind‑the‑scenes talent from across the community.
🌞 Summer Theater Camp
Every summer, we host a youth theater camp where kids learn all aspects of the craft—from auditioning and acting to stage management. The program culminates in a final performance that showcases their hard work and creativity.
What Community Theater Means to Us
Community theater is built on collaboration, creativity, and accessibility. Unlike professional theater, which relies on paid actors and crew, community theater thrives on volunteers who come together to make the performing arts available to everyone. It’s a space where local talent can grow, connect, and express themselves.
Our Ensemble Spirit
At KTK, we believe in the power of the ensemble. The success of the group comes before individual spotlight, creating a supportive environment where everyone contributes to a unified performance. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a backstage pro, or someone who simply loves the magic of theater, you have a place here.
Meet our 2025-2026 Board of Directors
The heart of KTK is our dedicated Board of Directors, a passionate group of professionals with diverse backgrounds in theater, business, community development, education, and beyond. Their leadership ensures that KTK continues to thrive, bringing the transformative power of the arts to our community and beyond.
